- Scorchwalkers Announcement! - 18 June 2025
Hello! Evan here, solo dev of Rebel Transmute, with a very exciting announcement! The Steam page for my next big game project, Scorchwalkers, is now live!! Please WISHLIST and help me get the ball rolling on Game 2!Being developed under Fatal Fawn Games (which for now is just me and a very talented artist who is on for this project), Scorchwalkers is a deckbuilder in the vein of Slay the Spire and Monster Train, but merged with the tactical combat of an Into The Breach or Fire Emblem! This game dances through many of my favorite genres and has been a wonder to develop already. I'm very excited to start sharing more, and building up to a very community driven development process (this kinds of games NEED constant feedback to be balanced)! Follow along by Wishlisting Scorchwalkers on Steam, or joining me on social media:BlueskyDiscordLastly I hope everyone has been enjoying the Synapse upd…

- Patch Notes for February 13th Hotfix - 14 February 2025
Fixed a bug where the Compound Heart augment effect would stay active after removing the augment. Fixed some blocks pushing the player into the ground when they spawn. By default Spin Bouncing no longer deals damage to enemies, instead the Motorized Blaster augment must be equipped to deal blaster damage to an enemy when you Spin Bounce. This should get rid of a lot of unintentional soft locks, but still allow for it to be useful in combat.

Map pins no longer disappear the first time you load a game save. Each phase of the Small Bot quest line is now properly marked by pins. Brian’s NPC pin now moves to reflect where they are on the map. Fixed a visual bug with the active Repair Station marker.

- 'Enter the Synapse' Update Out Now! - 6 January 2025
Enter the Synapse is a completely free, massive update to Rebel Transmute that makes a great Metroidvania even better. I've been working on this update for around 6 months now, and I couldn't be more excited for it to finally be in your hands! 4 new bosses have been added that are harder rematches of existing boss fights, with new movesets and patterns. 5 major bosses have been tweaked, given new movesets, new animations, and new sounds to create more engaging, and fairer fights for their placement in the game. A new fully optional, completely new weapon has been added to the game. This weapon is long range, deals less damage per shot, and is a lot of fun to use. But be careful, it doesn't collect sparkblood, so you'll have to switch to the short range blaster if you want to collect more to heal with! In addition, the majority of the rooms along the main path of the game have been retou…
- Patch Notes for December 28th Hotfix - 28 December 2024
Fixed a bug that led to many augments in the game being rewarded to the player incorrectly. If players spent money on these incorrect augments, they will now be properly refunded when they first launch the game, and the shops will restock on the appropriate augments.
- 'Enter the Synapse' free update out January 6th! - 22 December 2024
Boss Rematches! - Enter the Synaptic Network and battle smarter, faster, and more dangerous versions of your favorite bosses! - Earn the ability to turn repair (save) stations into teleport destinations! Updated Boss Fights! - Most bosses in the games have had a giant heaping of balance, new moves, added animations to make them feel more alive and to telegraph moves better, added sound effects, and adjusted to lessen wild difficulty spikes. (But have no worry, because the rematch versions are even harder than the old base versions!!) New Augments, New Weapon! - Equip the new 'Recoiler' augment to completely negate getting knocked backwards from shooting an enemy or wall. - Find the 'Particle Coil' item to unlock the ability to switch weapons! Swap on the fly between the standard, short-range beam attack and the new, long-range particle blaster attack! Better World Design, Platforming Ch…
- Patch Notes for December 20th Update! - 20 December 2024
This is a quick update to deal with some of the most common feedback / grievances about the game since launch. It also sets the groundwork for our huge content / feedback / polish / bug squashing updating due out January 6th 2025! HUD augment equip cost cut in half. Less Red Flux lost on death when you are out of extra cores, from 50% down to 30%. Fixed a bug where a few sound effects didn’t scale properly with audio settings. Background elements now appear dimmed, to make it easier to tell what is in the foreground and a wall / hazard, and what is in the background. Fixed a bug where you could be forever trapped in Network locations. (Worst case scenario Force Respawn now works there, full fix coming in our next update!) Optimized game file size.
