  • Multiplayer Update: Beta Branch! (Early NonVR Support) - 18 March 2021

Once again I would like to thank every who has taken the time to play my early access game! I'm extremely grateful to everyone who has written a review or left me feedback about the game! One of the most popular suggestions was to add multiplayer into the game. This is something I really wanted to work on personally but I had very zero experience with networking games. Since my previous game update at the beginning of February, I have spent the last month and a half working on adding multiplayer into the game. I decided to do this early on in the development process because with each and every feature that I add it would take more work down the line to backport into multiplayer. Now that I have the update ready in its beta form I will be getting back to adding more levels and features! As a solo developer, with only one VR headset I'm at the point where I've done all the testing I can a…

  • Multiplayer Update Progress #2 - 9 March 2021

I've made great progress in regards to multiplayer. There are some visual bugs for a few things due to network position syncing, but it's mostly bug-free in regards to the internal code. I haven't decided on it yet, but if you have any interest in having beta access to a private Multiplayer build leave a comment below. Performance seems to be fine on my end, but it might be helpful to have a range of computer configurations. I've been testing the game out by running both a Server/Host Client with a 2nd Client on the same PC. Performance should still be just a solid as it was before. In the previous post, I mentioned I was targeting this multiplayer patch to be released this week and that it would also accompany a Week-Long Sale @ 40% Off. I will most likely still have the patch ready this week, but since a Steam Week-Long Sale has to start on a Monday, I will probably push the update ba…

  • Multiplayer Update Progress / News - 23 February 2021

Hello! I would like to thank everyone who has continued to leave me feedback and suggestions! If you haven't already, please leave a review! I had my wisdom teeth removed on Feb 8th and was out of commission for about two weeks. I wasn't able to get much work done or be as active in the community threads as I would have liked. But I'm happy to say I'm feeling better and started back on the next update! If you haven't seen it already, check out the previous Development Roadmap! https://steamcommunity.com/games/1322370/announcements/detail/3019069421682253534 While I have a few of the below ideas already implemented, I would like to have the alpha build of multiplayer ready as well. Next Update Progress Multiplayer Alpha One of the most popular suggestions and something I would love to add. I have begun rewriting the internal codebase to support multiplayer. I only have limited experience…

  • Roadmap - Ideas/Concepts/Plans! - 27 January 2021

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to play my early access game so far! If you haven't already, please leave a review. Early feedback has been phenomenal! I'm honestly surprised how well people seem to like the concept of the game. I appreciate everyone who took the extra time to leave me feedback. I continue to read every comment and encourage anyone who has feedback or ideas to make a community post. With the latest Leaderboards Update - I have finished implementing the last of the core ideas I wanted to have in the game. Now that everything is implemented in its base form I can switch back to improving and developing new content. I have taken all of the future concepts/ideas I originally had and combined them with everything the community has suggested so far. I tried my best to include everything but I did prune some suggestions that either: didn't fit the current…

These last few updates have all been about addressing the early feedback I have gotten since the launch of the early access build on 1/16/21. You can customize -> (Weak Damage, Normal Damage, Critical Damage, Long Range Bonus Damage, Tower Damage). You will find this in the settings menu under the tab "Colors". This is still experimental. • Various Arrow Damage Multipliers! - 18 January 2021

I have received a ton of great feedback so far and I would like to thank everyone who took their time to do so! One of the most common suggestions I have received thus far is that there should be damage multipliers to the various aspects of shooting arrows. Both to add another layer of skill and to prevent some of the more spammy shots that are possible from close range. By popular demand, I have added my first attempt at these mechanics to the game. Details can be found below. Bow Mulitplers (Additive percentages) Consecutive Shot Multiplier - The more accurate your shots the higher damage you do! The current breakdown is the following -> 0-6 shots is regular damage. 7-18 shots provides a 10% damage boost. 19+ shots provide a 25% damage boost. Bow Draw Distance Multiplier - To prevent spamming shots there is now arrow damage scaling based on how much you draw your bow before firing. Th…

A game update with the following changes: Updates Added a Wave Counter / total number of waves to the Wave Info Popup that's shown on a map. Balance Changes Increased shooting delay for Archer Tower Level 2 from 0.6s to 0.8s Increased shooting delay for Archer Tower Level 3 from 0.5s to 0.7s Reduced Ogre health from 640 to 480 Input Bindings Swapped the Menu Open & Menu Selection buttons for the Vive Controller. Potentially added a full mapping for the Windows Mixed Reality HP Reverb G2 controllers. The game still does NOT have a binding for the original Mixed Reality controllers. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue that occurred when trying to update Monster stats with the modding tools. If the game detects that you've used the modding tool and have created a custom config and a new game update has a newer config it will now rename your modified config to "config_old" and generate the latest one.…

  • Smooth Locomotion Update - 15 January 2021

New Features Added Smooth Locomotion as an alternative to Teleporting. You can find this in the Settings Menu along with a slider to adjust the default movement speed. Currently, the Forward direction is based on the player's head but I will be adding an option to use the player's hand this weekend. This is a Work In Progress feature so if you run into any issues, please leave a comment below. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with sliders not working in the Settings Menu when on the map. • Custom Modding Support - 9 January 2021

Hello! In the games installation folder, there is a folder called "Modding Tools" inside you will find a ConfigEditor tool that allows you to completely customize all Monster, Tower, and Level data. Make sure you run the game at least once before using this tool. The program should automatically detect the games config folder. After making any changes, you can click File -> Save and then overwrite the file named "Config.json". The game will automatically use the most recent config file in this folder if you don't overwrite the existing one. Do not edit the config file itself. If you do there's a good chance that you could make the file invalid when parsing. If this happens, follow the below instructions. If you would like to revert to the original config - Simply delete the config.json file and restart the game. It will recreate this file with all the original settings. This tool is a w…

  • Looking For Beta Testers! - 7 January 2021

This beta window is now closed. Keep an eye out for future beta windows. Hello! Thanks for following the community page. I'm currently looking for around 9 (9 redeemed) that would like to participate in an early access beta of the game. This is an early build so you should expect bugs and rough edges but most everything is working as it should. It's also lacking in some regards to polished tutorials. I'm looking for someone who owns one of the following headsets: Oculus Rift S Oculus Rift HTC Vive Original Valve Index The game currently doesn't support Mixed Reality Controllers or the Vive Cosmos Controllers. I'm working on creating bindings for these controllers but I don't currently own these headsets. If someone has either of these headsets I might be able to send you a beta key and explain how to go about creating an official binding via the SteamVR Input Binding tool that you could…
