- One of the last - 20 November 2025
Welcome Knights and PrincessesFirst let me thank all of you who have supported us thus far. Every copy bought and every piece of feedback given was a big brick in making the game better. I would also like to encourage you to join today because it is one of the last promos before the main premiere, and one of the last moments to get that feeling, "Ah, I am one of those who made it possible."Working on a 1.0 is completely differentYou cannot be lazy anymore. There is no more place for- oh, this icon says what it needs to say- but it does not fit- but it's nice, let's keep itEverything is being made by hand, everything is created in one style. It may seem like a small thing, but I just want to show you how deeply we care about our game. We are taking care of every detail, preparing it for 1.0.There is, of course, much more exciting stuff coming than icons in one style. For example:Direction…
- My King! Your Battlereport - 24 September 2025
Hello Knights and Princesses,We’ve been working hard on many aspects of the game, mainly focusing on improving the quality of every element. Of course, that takes a lot of time. With the last big update, we reached the limits of our abilities—so now every change comes with a longer learning process than we expected. But that’s how it usually goes with indie studios, and we’re incredibly lucky to have been able to work on this full-time for over three years now.Castles Return to the GameThis time, I’m not using anything from so-called asset markets. For those who don’t make games: that’s a place where you can buy ready-made assets like castles under royalty-free licenses. It often speeds up production without hurting the player’s experience. But I’ve already seen three, maybe even four games from bigger studios that look very similar to Robber Knight—and that means it’s time to change thin…
- Robber Knight - What we are working on right now - 16 July 2025
Welcome Knights and PrincessesToday, a short video so you can check out our progress in-game, so to speak. This is one of our test builds in which you can admire the new castle of Sir Hans and the life of his subjects.A little bit about our plan for the future (reminder: we are only 2 people working on it).Current state and plansThe map is almost ready for the rest of the story and the endgame.I am thinking about cool ways for you to not be forced to take part in the story, as I know some of you just want to chop down trees or villagers—depends on your mood :PSir Hans’s castle is the first place with full AI life, so there are still some fixes to be made to the system and other villages to set up the routines. We prepared it in a sort of procedural manner, but for optimization reasons, every villager on the map still requires my attention and proper placement. So it will take some time.…
- Oh no, the game is dead :( - 29 May 2025
Welcome Knights and Princesses The title is, of course, a joke. We're working very hard every day to fulfill your needs. With only two people on the team, time is obviously an issue when creating a game like "RobberKnight". I’ve noticed that many of you feel anxious when I don’t post updates, so I’ve decided to return to my original plan of providing at least one progress update each month—to keep you in the loop. Now, let’s talk a little about the next update. The next update is called "The Freedom Update". Why? Build everywhere – survive anywhere We're upgrading and changing all parts of the game, both in terms of logic and performance, so that you'll be able to build almost anywhere in the world—except, of course, within other human settlements. For those of you who don’t want to build from scratch, don’t worry—the pre-made village that you can rebuild from the council table is still…
- Survey outcome - Thank you - 28 February 2025
Welcome, Knights and Princesses! Thank you for participating in our last survey. We’re thrilled that 90% of you are happy with the changes! We also appreciate your kind words and encouragement. However, 35% of you noted that you would like to see crafting, resource gathering, and free building return to the game. And 35% is a significant number, so we humbly bow our heads, apologize for taking the changes a bit too far, and will find a way to bring them back. This time, though, they will be **optional**, not something required. The main takeaway from your feedback was: We want more freedom And that’s exactly what we’ll keep in mind as we prepare the next update. Have a great weekend!
- (Super important) This is the last survey - 15 February 2025
Welcome, Knights and Princesses! We are working on our plan for this year, but we have some concerns about the last update. The storyline is set in stone—written, recorded, and now being added to the game, which is the hardest and longest part. As for additional gameplay, there is still a lot we can change and add. But the most important thing I have learned while working with you for the last two years is... that 24 hours a day can't get any longer, no matter how hard you try. So we have to pick. And to pick well, we need your full cooperation. Unfortunately, it seems that at any given moment, either only the unhappy part of you speaks while the happy part does not take part in the surveys— or we have a serious trolls/competition problem leading us astray. So... This is the one you have to fill out I have prepared a long form. I want to make sure you actually know the game and care abo…

- Patch 0.806 - 30 November 2024
Added throwing weapons: for now, a wooden spear (available from every carpenter). After testing, we will add more spears and other weapon types. Added proper damage values to arrow types. Added armor-piercing stats to ranged weapons and displayed them in the UI. Fixed bandit, animal, and chest spawns for all tributes, including in old saves. Fixed two quests, Wikman's Bears and Demon from the Cave, so the enemies no longer disappear. Fixed a rare issue where chests were not generating loot. Bandits and animals do not respawn while you are close to them
- patch 0.805 - 13 November 2024
patch 0.805 - 14.11.2024 - Fixed confusing text when saving to clarify that nothing is being overwritten. - Resolved a rare bug where the dialogue camera occasionally passed through the hero’s teeth. - Ludolf continues to sell animals even after you've bought his village and confirmed that everything is fine (Note: you buy his village at the highest possible tribute, and he currently offers no quests). - Corrected materials on a single door wall. - Moved the info text slightly lower from the middle of the screen to avoid covering the target. - UI information no longer blocks interaction with the rest of the game. - Fixed the breeding bar so you can now adjust it to retain a certain number of animals in your building after breeding, rather than automatically selling them all. - Added a safeguard to prevent naming saves in formats not supported by Windows, which previously caused a visual…
- Patch 0.84 - 30 October 2024
Added Chinese and Russian language support. Tribute arrival notification added (sound + text) in the left corner of the screen. Gold in inventory no longer shows as 0 after reload. Resource merchant bar now shows the quantity to be purchased, not the amount to be paid. Act 1 ending added upon completion of the last main story quest. Added sounds for drinking and eating actions.
- Patch 0.803 - 29 October 2024
- Added French, Spanish, and Portuguese language support - Fixed missing carpenter's plans if you spoke with him but didn’t complete the quest right away - Fixed Hans appearing in the battering ram after completing the Morold quests - Fixed occasional disappearance of the village headman - Oswald’s guards now fight alongside him, so be cautious - Fixed the co-op bug where the joining player couldn’t see the outer walls of buildings - Minor graphical fixes. All bugs were fixed in a way, that restarting the game is not necessary to enjoy the rest of the content.
- Hotfix 0.801 - 27 October 2024
Hotfix 0.801 Fixed the autocomplete bugs. You can finish all your quests that got stuck because you roamed the land first. You don`t have to start again.
- Robber Knight Update - 25 October 2024
Welcome, mighty Feudal Lords and Ladies! :) It’s time for the Robber Knight update. It’s time to… ah, I’d better quote Skinny: "Make Robber Knight great again!" I wanted to start by making a list of what’s different, what’s improved, etc. While preparing that list, I realized the only thing these two games have in common is Hamish and Peterlin. We actually made a leap of faith and, based on your feedback, created a completely new game for you. I was very nervous about it, but after the beta, I’m much less stressed, thanks to your comments: "Otherwise, I'd like to give huge praise to the development team because I really, really like the beta. The game keeps getting better and better, and I believe it has the potential to become something truly big. Thank you for taking this bold step!" Dom 11 I want you to know it meant a lot to us. :) Another one from one of our first supporters, a sor…
- Beta Launch (READ CAREFULLY IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD) - 30 August 2024
First of all, thank you again for your incredible support and assistance. Creating an RPG is a challenging task, especially when it's just the two of us, but we still believe we can create something epic together—it will just take a bit longer than expected. Our Plan: You can find the game, in the beta branch. We will release new content in parts. This approach will allow us to quickly identify and fix any issues. So it may sometimes, feel odd for you. First Round: • The first 12 quests of the main story • Building your home • Performance For testing, please focus on the dialogues and follow the quests. Wandering off might be boring since the world is currently empty—no animals, no caravans, no NPCs in villages or castles, and only quest-related content is present. No UI issues, no world sound issues, just the 3 points nothing more. Making Your Testing Easier: Since the world is empty,…
- We need more... - 24 August 2024
We need more Help 😊 So inspired by your comments, let me paste some here: Sergot No problem. I like the way you interact with the community. Better take your time and make it right than fix it later. Far too many AAA productions take route 2 but you won't have that many shots as an indi dev. We are here. Your own community will understand and be happy about that decision! Keep on keeping on! ːsteamthumbsupː Carne_Le_Meat take your time, cook all you need. looking forward to what you give us. Królewstwo I S That's a good decision. Take as much time as you need. I'm cheering for you and this project. I believe in you. Good luck! :) Kagerou My opinion: It's better to be honest and delay the release than to deliver something subpar! So, respect to you for having the courage to do that! Yes, we are waiting, but I'd rather wait for a game that is worth it. You are absolutely right that it wo…
- The promo is a little mistake - 16 August 2024
The update is coming between 23-26, I totaly forgot about changing the promo date too. Sorry for the misunderstanding. For those of you who play now - please remember there is a wipe coming with the next update. We will add the curent version to beta stages so you can finish what you started now. Have a nice day
- Sartorian - for the Players - 20 July 2024
Dear Friends, I have played the game for an entire day today, and I must be honest with myself - The game still requires polishing. I think it would be disrespectful to you to push it out as it is. "For the Players" is not just a motto that we don't care about. It is the way we think about making games. We have invested a lot of time, effort, and money in the upcoming update, and we think it would be a terrible decision to release it just because we are fixated on the second anniversary date. We want to start fresh, with a lot of fast updates, and not be chasing our tails for the next six months. Most importantly, we want you to really enjoy the new adventures we have prepared. We need at least three more weeks to iron out the details. I am sorry I got your hopes up with the last few messages, but I hope you understand that I have your best interests at heart. Yours, Sartorian
- Patch teaser and important info - 16 July 2024
Welcome dear Knights, Robber knights, Princesses and Robber Ladies! This one will be short as it is just a reminder: On July 22, we will celebrate our second anniversary. There will be a significant update and a wipe. Why a wipe? - We have changed the engine version from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5. Why? - To be able to develop the game for at least another 5 years and stay competitive. What to expect from the update: 1. We have gathered 2 years of feedback from the 3 versions of the game we have provided, to create the ultimate gaming experience. In human language, you get a new game – based on your feedback. 2. This version, in terms of gameplay, is final. In terms of features, upgrades, and additional content, it is just the beginning of a real early access phase. So, a lot of things will be added, both planned and requested by you. What sort of game is it now? It's an Action RPG mixed with…
