- Patch 1.05 - Difficulty Tuning & Balancing - 1 May 2026
This is our first major difficulty tuning update, focused on the early game. We will adjust as we continue to receive feedback, thank you to the several players who shared with us. The difficulty setting is adjustable at any time in-game, without any reload necessary. We encourage everyone to experiment with the 6 different difficulty options available. Normal is designed for players coming in with limited ARPG experience, Very Hard and Insane are more for Action / ARPG veterans. Additional options are coming in the future. Difficulty ChangesThe Machine Boss drops a bit more health at critical stages, and chef enemy spawns are more spaced out in that fight. Most enemy attacks do 10% more damage to the player on normal, hard, very hard, and insane. Bomb enemies attack slightly less often, but each bomb does 15% more damage. After years of development, we finally have a release window -- Early 2025! Check out the new extended trailer to see our work. 2024 has been a crazy year for the team, and we've made significant progress towards fleshing out locations you'll cross on your globe-trotting adventure. Travel through deserts, caves, swamps, volcanoes, ships, ruins and more! In order to stop the Pirate King, you'll also need to upgrade Jack's abilities - boomerang, kick, dash, shockwave to turn into lethal weapons that fit YOUR playstyle. Obsessed with kicking bottles? Kick a bottle at the last second to split into 3 and hit 3 foes. Dash through enemies to spawn mini-AOEs. Do damage with your shockwave, and hit multiple enemies to multiply the effects!
