Dear followers, it is finally done! I achieved the unthinkable! Lose Ctrl is finished and available in stores around the world. We had some struggles along the way, I needed to rewrite a lot from scratch and there many doubters. Even when I was awarded the Deutsche Computerspielpreis for Best Game Design, many people doubted me and said: Martin Jeremiah, you will NEVER release this game. But guess what: they were wrong! They were SO WRONG! It is possible! You can release a game and be a successfull influencer/guru/entrepreneur at the same time. Don't let anybody tell you any different. - Personal Update - 28 February 2025
Dear followers, it has been a while since the last update. Does that mean, I am not working on the game anymore? HELL NO! As a matter of fact I am working harder than ever. Pulling all nighters and giving it my all every day! But Martin Jeremiah, why are there no updates, you might ask? Fear not, my friend, there will be a HUGE UPDATE very soon. When everybody else left I decided to take the project in a more personal direction, giving it even more of that delicious and award-winning Martin-Jeremiah-Apple-flavour. Alas, this takes time - a lot of time! A story as interesting and dramatic as mine is not easily put into a game. It is nearly impossible, but I intend to do it anyway. - Rollback of last update - 30 September 2024
Dear people, in the last few days I have received a lot of reports about crashes and bugs in regards to our game. Effective immediately we well be rolling back our last update! Everything will run as smooth as before! We integrated the old code-base again, which is inferior, but more reliable! - HUGE UPDATE - 20 September 2024
Dearest gamers, this update might not seem like much, but I assure you it is a huge update for me personally. I BASICALLY REWROTE ALL THE CODE! The game will now run smoother, look better, consume less power, have lower latency in multiplayer and will be over all a far superior experience. On the surface there won't be any changes, be it in terms of content or UI, but under the hood everything is new and improved and ready for the future. This update will ensure, that the game has a bright future ahead of itself and that future content updates will be easy to integrate. Personal note: this is a huge success for me as a programmer/person. After our coding team left, people told me to abandon the project. Dear players, it has been a while since the last update, but I can assure you that I, Martin Jeremiah Apple, am working hard and tirelessly to ensure the quality and vision of this game. I am happy to annouce the following features for this new update: I integrated STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS! Can you get them all? I reworked the ending, it is now better! I fixed some bugs and glitches! I corrected over 250 typos, which were overlooked by the former team! I did a lot of engine-related stuff. It was very complicated and would take too long to explain. - Release Postponed - 29 November 2023
Today is the day! Or at least it should have been. Unfortunately, we have to announce that we cannot release Lose Ctrl into Early Access today although we would have loved to! Why? We are ready for steam, but steam is not ready for us 😀 Or in other terms: There have been some hiccups in the steam review process that needed to be addressed and unfortunately this seems to elongate the whole process by a couple of days. How long? We cannot say for certain, but we hope to release in the next days or next week, given things go more smoothly in the meantime!
