  Hi all, As always, thanks for playing Happy Hour Hero and for providing the essential feedback that you do. Thanks to some feedback and details we received from our users, we managed to identify a performance issue that led to frankly unacceptable performance on some machines when using that runtime in place of the Meta Quest OpenXR runtime. The hotfix we're pushing today should drastically improve performance for players using a Quest headset with the SteamVR OpenXR runtime. Having said that - for the best possible experience, Meta Quest players should use the Meta Quest OpenXR implementation that can be enabled in the Meta Quest PC App under Settings > General by clicking 'Set Meta Quest Link to active'. For players playing via Virtual Desktop, we recommend using VDXR as the OpenXR runtime as it appears to produce better performance than the SteamVR implementation at this time. Cheers…

  1.0.7 Changelog Thank you for coming along with us for the launch of Happy Hour Hero. We’ve found it quite surreal launching the game and are super happy it’s in the hands of real players! We’ve had feedback around the difficulty curves of the Happy Hour and Hardcore game modes, and we’re making some changes to address that feedback and make the overall baseline difficulty lower than before. Balancing and Difficulty Changes The difficulty now ramps 33% slower in all of the main game modes. This should make the starting periods of each shift more forgiving. The starting difficulty of all of the main game modes is easier by default. For context on the following changes, players need to know that the difficulty ramp causes tasks to happen more frequently as the difficulty increases: Beginning task frequency has been decreased from 13 seconds to 16 seconds. • Demo Update - 21 January 2024

  Hi everyone! Not too long back we released the demo for Happy Hour Hero - well, we've kept plugging away at improving the experience, and we've just updated the demo ahead of some sort of 'festival' for the 'next' indie titles... - We'd love for anyone interested to give it a go..! The update includes: Unlimited play of the casual gamemode, with both 'Easy' and 'Normal' difficulty curves. French/Italian/German/Spanish localisations. A slew of QoL enhancements and minor bug fixes. HHH is all about 'flow' and finding your zen state. You're able to put that to use in Casual, Normal, and Hardcore modes - as well as take a break from the job in Darts and Bowling minigames. We're super excited for the release in a few weeks..! Jake
