  • 1.0.2🛠️ - 16 June 2026

Addressing a few reported issues, and some QOL.☀️Fixed a bug where you were able to clip through the door leading to the PIT sector.Changed the treasure-worth counter to say "loading" initially to avoid being misleading. You can now stop sprinting by pressing sprint again instead of having to make a full stop.Adjusted letter text sometimes being somewhat outside of the letter background.

  • 1.0.1 🛠️ - 23 April 2026

This is a very small patch that only addresses a bug that could prevent you from inviting friends or joining lobbies. The chances for this happening was quite large, so it's nuts that we somehow over several sessions avoided bad RNG when testing the final build.Have a nice weekend!☀️//Karba

  • Demining is leaving early access!🚀🥳🎉 - 12 April 2026

Leaving Early Access🚀 After about 2 years in development, I feel like Demining is good enough to be considered a finished project. Things like ultra wide support and custom settings will sadly be left out of the full release. I may still implement these features and maybe even more - but for now - i have to focus on something else. Although I plan to move on to new projects, I will still be keeping an eye out for bug reports, complaints and such. (Especially now right after the release). Some final words🚀 Demining was originally supposed to be a single player, story driven, non-horror summer project and when looking at the final game - you could say that things went a bit... out of hand😂 Thanks to everyone who bought and helped test out the game along the way, its been wild. Also, I promised to keep the price the same post Early Access but I hope its okay that I'm lowering it to $4.7…

  • 0.8.8 - 18 January 2026

Ruins🚩Fog has been removed from ruins, making them much darker than before. Lightning now more abruptly sets itself to what it should be depending on the time of the day when exiting a ruin instead of slowly transitioning from a darker state.World🌏Fixed some holes in the geometry in the Hangar sector.Fixed a bug where you could (unintendedly) climb a hill in the Wetlands sector and get stuck out of bounds.Slightly tuned fog density for the initial first 15 minutes of a shift.UI🎨Changed the background of letters/notes to something more letter-y.

  • 0.8.7 - 14 January 2026

  • 0.8.5 - 11 January 2026

⚡PerformanceFixed an issue causing FPS drops when in shadow-dense areas.Shadows tuned.Lightning tuned.More tuning in terms of lightning/shadows are coming, but i felt like a fix for the FPS issues needed to go out before its all done as it may take some time to get these visual elements just right.

v0.8.1 -Reduced hitbox for fire of all sizes.Fixed blurry UI animations on the main menu.GPU Optimizations for the Overworld.Increased brightness inside of the main camp tents.

  • v0.8 - 20 December 2025

Key ChangesIn this patch, I have focused on reworking the visuals of the game. This was to allow for gameplay during daytime as in previous versions, the game jumped straight to dusk as a way to cope with heavy GPU-loads. A full rework of all lightning, shadows and object rendition features across the entire game was required to make this work which is why this one took some time to get done. Complete visual overhaul of the entire game world.Special weather conditions has been partially or fully reworked.Interaction prompts has been clarified and visually overhauled.Being on fire now lasts for a maximum of 30 seconds unless it rains or you get wet.A new soundscape has been implemented to further help differentiate full-on nighttime from daytime in the overworld.Bug FixesFixed a bug where special weather conditions could be triggered locally for any client after exiting an in-door area w…

  • Dev Update 3 - 29 August 2025

Hello, Deminers! It's been a while since the last Dev Update and since the project is undergoing some major structural changes - its time. The less fun news: I've been developing this game and pumping out updates over the last 1.5 years to get as far through the backlog as possible before running out of resources.. And regretfully.. ..That time has sadly come, and I gotta to do a job on the side to be able to sustain development costs and all else as only doing this is completely unsustainable. However..! Everything has secretly been going exactly according to plan as I've managed to get so much in place during this crucial period that I'm confident that this wont impact the full-release date for the game (Q2 2026) at all. Updates will be coming it more slowly, but be more substantial leading up to the full release. What's next: Graphical Overhaul In the next update, a complete graphica…

New Subarea: ElevatorThis area replaces the current "final" area of the game and exists as a testament to a deminers dedication to the game. • v0.6.1 - 5 August 2025

New Subarea: Phreatic Access Shaft In my quest to add more meaning to exploring the overworld, here's the second major subarea you may find your way to. This time, its a massive cave you may blow open by digging up a certain item in the world.New subarea located in Lowlands. Contains a new unique enemy built solely for this section of the game. A new zone-wide puzzle involving certain activities within the cave.New Enemy: Matriarch A massive new type of enemy that likes to be in ceilings and pretend to be a lamp. Will make sure the developer never sells another copy to an arachnophobic. This, in retrospect - may have been a questionable decision. LightningIndoor areas are spookier now at any time of the day! There's now a totally different lightning setting that goes active individually for players depending on if they are indoors or outdoors.UIHUDReworked the look of the Status-UI with…

  • v0.6.0c - 26 July 2025

Bug Fixes, Polish Fixed a bug where interacting with a non-unlocked interactable that wasn't a door using a controller could softlock the game. • Demo Available! - 25 July 2025

Demo Information: Single Player only. (For now..!) Full access to all content in the first available zone of the game. Can play for a total of 2 shifts / deaths per save-file.Going forward, the demo-build will always be ~one or two versions apart from the default one (unless major bugs are found). This is so the latest public version can be thoroughly tested before i take the time to make a separate build with all demo-unique stuff/tuning enabled. The demo can also be downloaded as a standalone through Itch.io! Enjoy!ːsteamthumbsupːːsteamhappyː

Slightly increased head movements when moving / doing actions. Sprinting and looking at the metal detector can now be done without having to stop sprinting first. The ragdoll is now on fire if dying while burning. Fixed a bug where fires could be invisible for a client, but not the host. Made it so the mouse moves out of the way when using keyboard to disarm a mine, so a cable is not accidently cut under the mouse when pressing space.
