- Bullet Brain at LatAm Games Showcase + Gamepad Rebinding + Brazilian Portuguese! - 30 April 2026
We're part of Latin American Games Fest! They'll show off a trailer we made for them that show a new enemy with a grenade launcher! Also we made a patch for the fest!Added Brazilian PortugueseAdded support for Gamepad rebindingAdded an aim indicator when using gamepadImproved menu navigation; it should be much less twitchy on gamepadFixed a bug that would punt you to the main menu when you tried to pause in the first levelNext priority is making level killboxes tighter and muting the music when you complete a world so the moments land more. Also finally started work on some new enemies that I'm excited to show you!One more change we just did -- some users were having trouble with their attack inputs not being detected. We just pushed a patch that should solve the issue!
- Demo Patch #4 - 6 April 2026
Added outlines to character portraits.Hid mouse better when using gamepad; you should no longer see mysteriously highlighted UI buttons when using gamepad.Fixed bad mouse display after rebinding.Support skipping story with a button on gamepad.Made a controls instruction intrusive only if the player did not push that button prior to their last death. For example, if a player died without walking with WASD in a level that teaches to WASD, the WASD instruction becomes more intrusive; but it won't be intrusive on the player's first attempt.Made "slash" instruction intrusive.Made "shoot" instruction intrusive.Used bullet emitters to make the first "shoot" tutorial level impossible to beat without shootingNext priority is making the dialogue font larger (for better steam deck support), fixing menus rendering wrong in ultrawide monitors, and supporting gamepad rebinding. Then I'd like to focus…
- Demo patch #3 - 28 March 2026
Demo patch #3Made wasd & slowmo tutorial popups much more aggressive (people were missing them)Fixed incorrect instruction icon if using controller in planning phaseNext patch should make the weapon popup more aggressive & should have some resolution fixes. Also working on gamepad rebinds.
- Demo patch #2 -- Gamepad support! - 23 March 2026
Second patch of the demo here we go!Full gamepad support! Aiming works and feels good now :3You can pause in the planning phase nowRebinding the "brain jump" key now also rebinds related keys (reset on death, end planning, next level)The "You Died" message is more readableWASD and slow mo instructions are more aggressive (they wiggle) which should help people miss them less.Valve no longer needs to be held to flood the pump (tapping it will be sufficient)The weekend's over so output will slow down for a bit. Priorities for the next patch are improving support for other resolutions and introducing one level between 1.1 and 1.2 to make tutorialization slightly more gradual -- 1.2 is intentionally a difficulty spike, but I want players to have practice comfortably jumping in all directions before they get tested there. Also want to enable gamepad rebinding. As always, many of these changes w…
- Demo patch #1 - 22 March 2026
Here's the first patch of the demo!Handle easier gamepad bindings -- more gamepad bindings (like proper aiming) coming soon.Fix bad cueball redirection in level 2.10.Add music & sfx to language menu. Add volume slider to language menu.Fix gap in level 2.1 to make it more visible.Fix button for next to make it clearer -- people thought it was a slider or a loading button.Fix slowmo glitch. The biggest priority for the next patch is fixing up the gamepad support. I also want to improve the resolution selector & improve support for different resolutions, and I want to try and make the WASD and slowmo tutorialization more aggressive. Thanks for your attention and have a nice day!And please continue to file demo feedback! It is very very helpful.
