  • What’s Coming Next? - 28 June 2025

Hello! Thank you so much for playing DigDigDrill! To make the game even more enjoyable for those who’ve been digging deep, I'm working on adding new content and endgame challenges. Here’s what’s coming in future updates: ・Controller Support One of the most requested features since release — controller support — is on the way! I'm working to make the game comfortable to play with all major controllers, including the Steam Deck. ・Multi-Drill Forging I know that repeatedly crafting drills just to get the effect you want (and watching the animation each time) isn’t the most exciting experience. So I’m adding a feature that lets you forge multiple drills at once, based on your forging level. ・Trial System For players who’ve beaten the Ruins, I’m planning a new “Trial” system that makes existing stages more challenging. Special conditions like “certain blocks become tougher” or “light range is…

Sometimes, the effect tiles can't be filled. To reduce Max Energy, you need to fill red tiles. To address these issues, I'm planning to adjust the puzzle mechanism while keeping the Charms themselves unchanged! I will keep updating DigDigDrill, so please look forward to it!

  • Addressing "Max Energy Issue" and "Many Inspects Issue"! - 21 January 2025

Hello. Thank you so much for playing DigDigDrill! In the upcoming major update, I’ll be addressing two significant issues: 1. Max Energy Issue Currently, once you increase the maximum energy capacity, you cannot decrease it. This causes some Enchants to become less efficient as you upgrade. To resolve this, I'm planning to add a feature that allows you to change your drill's frame. For example: Decreasing bag size in exchange for higher critical chance Lowering energy capacity to boost speed By selecting frames that suit your drills, you’ll have more freedom to enjoy digging the way you like! 2. Many Inspects Issue When exploring ruins, you often collect lots of Haniwas and Totems, but inspecting each one individually can be tedious. I'll be introducing a feature to inspect multiple items at once, similar to large treasure chests. This should make searching for Haniwas much smoother and…
