• Quick update to Smoking Gun Update 1.2.6 - 4 May 2026

  After some helpful insights and feedback, I've made some changes to balance the difficulty in some of the earlier levels. These changes general consist of: (1) Reduced the number of enemies who spawn at specific trigger points. In some areas where the player often gets overwhelmed, the number of enemies have been reduced to make it more manageable. (This primarily pertains to the first 3 levels)(2) Reworked some of the navigation data to keep the AI from moving to locations that are hard to shoot/see.(3) Enemies who spawned at higher locations on balconies or rocks, have been moved down to the ground to allow the player to engage them in either aiming mode. (4) Slightly adjusted the spawn rates of regular bandits during boss encounters, to be more appropriate. (Wild Bill did seemed to be more difficult to deal with than Los Diablos Negros, due to the spawn rate of bandits)I definitely a…

• Quick update to Smoking Gun Update 1.2.4 - 1 May 2026

  I had some extra time to put into this, this morning so I added the following:(1) Fixed a bug that kept the "injured" screen mask remain after getting an invincibility pickup. (2) Fixed a bug that allowed enemies to shoot while they were reloading.(3) Increased the number of sounds that can occur at the same time and adjusted their priority. Sometimes when there was lots of audio calls, it would cause the music to restart.(4) Fixed a bug in the checkpoint system (levels that have a boss) that would make the player lose everything they collected in that level, if they die to the boss and restart at the checkpoint. Stats are now added and saved at the checkpoint.(5) Added UI health bars for bosses.(6) Added blood VFX when hitting enemies.I'm sure I'll come up with ways to polish and improve the game but let me know if you have any suggestions. • Quick update to Smoking Gun Update 1.2.2 - 30 April 2026

  Just a quick update to do a few things:(1) Fix some UI bugs related to the settings menu and optimized some of the logic.(2) Improve the ragdoll by adding better joint constraints. Limbs should not bend in crazy ways anymore and the overall look is more realistic. (3) Added some animation changes to enemies with revolvers.   Hello! Based upon some friendly feedback I've received about the gameplay mechanics, there have been some changes to accommodate and make things better for all players. Additionally, a good amount of time has been spent to polish and improve performance. Improved Gameplay Balance As the game was intended to revolve around a classic 90's style (vertical scrolling), transferring that into a 3d presents a level of difficulty that didn't exist in the older titles. Since hit detection was based off a 2D space, the level of skill required to hit targets, while the screen was consistently scrolling, presented a reasonable challenge. Converting that same gameplay to a 3D world, that requires great precision with the mouse and timing presents that same challenge x 10. • Update Build 1.0.1 - 28 October 2024

  Fixed a bug that prevent the player from completing a level. Changed the crosshairs to be apart of the UI, rather than 3D objects in game. This helps with visibility issues on the crosshairs on levels that are brighter. Fixed an issue causing enemies to spawn and not be focused on the player.
