- Fixed Silver Crafting! - 8 July 2026
Hey fixed that silver crafting bug. Took exactly 2 hours of AI nonstop combing over the game's files, and a dozen build attempts later, we actually got silver crafting working again! Was strange to see it break -- and so severely at random like that? Didn't change any files in months. If you were curious, this is the actual solution that made it work. Facepunch didn't change recently but maybe some of those variables became more strict or something at Steam. No idea. But finally got past this one lol. It seems fast too!
- Introducing HiFi Streamer Pro! - 22 May 2026
Hey everyone, I wanted to tell you about a new app I created which is launching in just a couple days here on Steam! It's called HiFi Streamer Pro, it's a media player that I created for use in streaming my music from my Plex server in high sound quality, now as a standalone app it has the ability to do WASAPI exclusive mode for bit-perfect sound and a new mini-player with borderless skins which are totally customizable. It was always designed to just be an audio-only player, but I am imagining expansion and plugins providing us with more limitless possibilities, and I think we could get the workshop system working here to share things like miniplayers. The premise being, I use Plex at home and sometimes you have a random MP3 or audio file you want to test, and you can't exactly just "drag" stuff into you server to play it like a regular temporary listening experience... or mix your que…
- New Standalone AutoClicker App! - 9 April 2026
Hey! I had an idea yesterday to create an actual dedicated AutoClicker application, and put it inside JAMs as a bonus if you purchased the AutoClicker DLC: It not only will click for you in the game, but now has a second feature: it includes an entire separate program you can use on your computer for your general Auto-Clicking needs. Goes up to 1000 CPS! Break all the games! 😈 It's perfect because the AutoClicker itself is essential to our game right now, it's practically a required purchase so why not slap a whole program in there as a bonus toss-in feature to say thanks for buying the DLC and maybe it will encourage more people to pick it up just for this feature alone, you don't need JAMs running to use it. You should already see it in-game if you are on Windows! Fully translated in all of our supported languages. To launch it, you can find the program in the install directory, or y…
- New Items Coming Soon - 25 March 2026
Hey guys sorry I haven't made new items for a little while there, they were kind of driving me crazy. I have the ability to make the coolest AI artwork now, but the animations are really hard to make perfectly looped and sometimes you do 20 animations in a row and the pixels haven't budged at all, and it costs money per animation attempt, it's maddening to say the least. So I went to develop a ton of other software using AI, I found that I could write an entire program or game in the time it would normally take me to make 1 AI video animation and be happy with it, and I made so many programs that one day I had the idea to ask AI to make me a custom animation software suite for JAMs so we could get animations coming out which are nice transparent glittery little GIFs not the AI videos type. After a bit of iteration, the program can now spit out some half decent creations. These are going…
- "Close to system tray" feature added! - 7 February 2026
I did it!! Built us a System Tray minimize feature in one long 18-hour session at the keyboard. 😆 So satisfying to see it working!!! Fully translated into all 23 languages!\We're trayin'!!!!\It only has "show" and "exit" functions right now, I'm not sure what other buttons we would need in there, but this is the more advanced version of a task tray thing and I set it up to accept images, so I'll get it super purple and extra beautiful soon. Hard-coded it to all languages, I made sure the translations were 100% perfect on these, I might need to update all our other language strings though as apparently there are hundreds of improvements to be made there, I'll sort that out tomorrow. In particular things like Vietnamese capitalization need work, and I was translating phrases one-at-a-time previously and things probably don't make a whole lot of sense, using AI to give me proper translati…
- JAMs on Apple macOS! - 5 February 2026
Got the macOS build done and it's working good! Spent a couple days trying out macOS and getting my system to run decently, very annoying to work with but I have it at a point now where I can easily patch the game so we should be good. This covers all of the currently possible operating systems on Steam now, hopefully soon we get Android support and I can put a build for that online as well. There's currently one game that has an Android APK up but that system may take years to mature, too early to consider now. But the first moment we should, I will!Let me know if anyone has issues with the macOS build let me know, it should work for everyone though (Intel or Apple silicon) but it has yet to be tested on anything other than my macOS Sonoma here. I'll try get more test-systems of different OSX versions going in the coming months to experiment farther in case there is any difference. For…
- JAMs Linux - Proton Mode - 3 February 2026
Okay after learning that some prefer how Steam handles Windows apps under Proton under Linux, I wanted to have that as an available option for Linux. So you will now find that as a launch option when starting the game. It's a launch script for that Proton Mode, and after installing a whole bunch of Proton versions to test them out I realized how quickly you can run out of hard drive space doing that. I moved my Proton versions to a second hard drive, only for it to no longer detect it in my script... So I made an interactive Proton Setup script you can now use to configure your system. You don't have to be too specific when specifying the mount point of your Proton installations, the script is fairly robust to figure it out (let me know if you run into any edge-cases). You can specify your preferred version, or leave it blank and it will prefer Experimental. But for whatever reason if y…
- JAMs on Linux! - 2 February 2026
Hey Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and almost Valentine's Day already but I'm always plugging away here on JAMs. I have added a Linux build of the game! Tested it out and it works good! Also I have started January 1st to be the start of Season 4 arbitrarily, but then I realized that Steam changed the template for the size of items so the new ones will fit properly from now on, and you can tell if any old ones are that new 4px-narrower size then it was one that had an update done to it. That's pretty much all the news I have for now, let me know if there are any new ideas for features we are missing or bugs to fix! I'll see if I can add some new minigames or something this week.
- Nominate JAMs for 'Labor of Love' award! - 26 November 2025
Hey! ːcta_emo7ːIt's that time of year again, time to vote! Please cast your vote for us to be the 'Labor of Love' award winner! I know we are going up against the entire Steam Store and we don't really stand a chance, but I have to at least ask!Last year when we were eligible in all categories, we were just a week or so into the beginning of the project and nothing had even really been started. It didn't even make sense to vote for but at this point in the game with 600+ versions in, I think we are getting a bit closer to the goals, but not quite all the way there yet. The game's UI works now, over 400 designs, built an inventory, leaderboard, statistics history and a collection screen, a mini-game and even the music player to embed music tracks into some items. We've come a long way from the era where the buttons in the UI did not line up for months.I'm definitely going to keep piling…
- Updated Unity Editor - 4 October 2025
Updated Unity! v1.607 is the first version with the recent vulnerability patched Unity Editor.
- Media Player!!! - 24 September 2025
Hey! This week I have been working on a media player for the JAMs songs, and I think I've got it pretty much complete at this point, or usable at least. I made a bunch of AI music like a year ago, and I stopped working on that since the game itself was so far from complete at the time. Now that the game is starting to get more complete, the next logical step was to add the music in. The prophecy is complete --- JAMs now actually has JAMs in it!!! When you don't want it open, you can just minimize it using the 'X' on the end there:Click on this 'Song List' button to view your songs:And your playlist screen might look something like this. The songs are locked behind items, so you may have a ridiculous sounding playlist if you only have 1 item with a song in it, but I only added like 27 songs in there so far. I haven't made any music for awhile so I have to get back into that zone one of t…
- New JAMTRIS MiniGame! - 11 September 2025
Okay I spent a few days wrestling with Unity but I finally got it done --- the first minigame JAMTRIS is complete! You can access it via this icon on the main screen for now:So in the minigame when you score points, it immediately counts towards your click counter on the main screen, so technically you could just play this game INSTEAD of active clicking, and the auto-clicker (if equipped) will still be clicking away in the background. The points/steamstat are awarded per-line-clear (not at the game-over screen, when the high score is submitted). to just give you another way to advance towards those achievements. I didn't add an achievement yet for JAMTRIS, if I do I'll make it very reasonable to hit, like maybe a score of 10K... I can't make the minigames each really hard to complete if I add lots of them, so don't worry about a huge score requirement from this. The points double for e…
- New collection screen - 8 September 2025
Hey I added a new collection screen to the app, it's located to the far left! You can click on the items you own and you will be taken to the item details screen for that item. It also shows the quantity of that item in the list! You can change the sort order to be ID# and by name, and I made it display that text in your chosen language. The 'back' button on the item details screen will go to the inventory if you click in from there, but if you click in from the collection screen, the back button will go back to collection (and the hover tooltip displaying correctly). I might tweak the visual design of this screen a bit more (the green on owned items is a bit jarring) but for now it seems to work pretty good! You can use this to quickly navigate to a certain item without using the inventory screen at all. There may be a few extra at the bottom that are unreleased / WIP items, ignore those…
- Optimized Inventory Screen - 6 September 2025
Hey! Quick update here, I know the inventory screen is a bit of a chore to use with all the images it has to load, so I did some tweaks. I created a new mode that has memory management, and I made it remember what page you are on when you are browsing through the items. When you click the back button, it remembers what page you were browsing. This new mode is now the default, and I removed the mode selector toggle. Now the game can stay under 2-3GB of RAM as you browse through the pages. There may still be a tiny memory leak but it's very manageable now compared to before. It can have some strange appearance sometimes (items appearing twice as they download in, white squares etc) but it's worth it for the memory savings, I'll try clean up the screen a bit more down the road.
- Crafting Update! - 4 September 2025
Hello everyone! I've been grinding away on this for awhile and I've finally got it working. I created a way to exchange your items for a Silver & Gold currency, and this will be used for features within the game and also it would be cool to have minigames where you could earn more silver too. The button to exchange items is on the details screen for each item. Each common (or DLC) type item can be exchanged for 1 silver, and 100 silvers will automatically convert into 1 gold. Each 'rare' can be exchanged for 1 gold each. You can do them in bulk in 1x, 10x, or 100x multipliers by right-clicking on the exchange button to toggle your quantity. By default, it expects your items to be stacked. If they are all loose, there's a toggle switch in the settings to try craft in bulk with the loose items. I imagine creating a little shop inside the game where you can spend the gold on different items…
- Use your items as the clicking button! - 23 August 2025
Hey! I am building the screen to view details about the items in inventory, and it's shaping up pretty well! You can click the heart icon on the item details screen of an item to add that item to be your favorite, and it will replace your clicking button on the main screen. Click favorite again on the same item to disable it. I'll be adding more stats and buttons onto this details screen too. You can use the left/right arrows to navigate to the next items you own, and it will download the primary image for that item as needed. Things load faster once they get cached. The inventory screen itself is still really heavy, we could use a more basic text-based version or a different mode on the existing one, like loading static images of each in inventory and then animate them as you hover, but we'll worry about that later. I didn't make any changes to the inventory screen recently, but I just…
- New CPS (clicks-per-second) Indicator - 20 August 2025
Hey small update, I added a clicks-per-second feature on the main screen. Since I set up the autoclicker to go slightly faster with each unique item you own I figured it would be good to have a gauge on the screen where you can see exactly how fast it's going, or if you click at the same time, just a way to measure your speed. I set it up so if you click on it, it stops calculating in case it had a performance impact on your clicking speed, you have the choice to have it on or not. Helpful also to see if lower framerates have slower speeds! With 324 uniques (I think I'm only missing a couple) my AC runs at 148 CPS at 60 FPS and 110 CPS at 30 FPS. Pretty big differences in speed so I'm glad I set this up, this was badly needed! More stuff coming soon just wanted to point out how this works! Cheers!
- v1.342 Patch Notes - 18 June 2025
Game now launches into English on 1st-time launch, previously it was loading Bulgarian until you chose another language in the settings (which would stay). It now saves the language files on first time bootup. Optimized cloud saving saving logic, previously it was saving every 500 clicks but now: - Up to 100 clicks of a session, saves every 10 clicks - Then up to 500 clicks of a session, it saves every 100 clicks - Then up to 2000 clicks in a session, it saves every 500 clicks - Then after that, it saves every 2000 clicks This way if you open it up for the first time or just click a little bit, it's likely going to save that progress but if you are clicking fast with the auto-clicker then it will shift into a mode where it's likely saving at a decent pace. Just wanted to leave a note with the exact saving points.
- JAMs Season 3!! - 24 May 2025
Hey everyone! Well I'm back from my trip and got us caught up on new items, and I was thinking of altering the system in such a way that would accommodate sporadic trips (as I have another one coming up in a month or so anyway) so here is what I have come up with as a solution. I'll just leave them in the drop pool for a longer period of time, still cycle them out but if I fall a few days behind it would barely be noticeable to people if there were a lot of different items dropping. Previously I was cycling them out every 5 days, I think a number as high as 30 days/items would be pretty reasonable to have as a common drop pool, any more than that would take awhile to get the newer items. And since I switched it to season 2 after fixing things and changing the distribution/timing last time, I figured it was a good time to call this season 3. It should be a lot easier for everyone to stay…
- Going on an adventure! - 3 May 2025
Hey I'm gone for a week or so on a trip so I might not be able to make a whole new animation every day, I need to focus on the trip so there may be a day or two coming up without a new daily item but it's not the end of the world, I'll be back really soon! The car I imported (which I'm picking up) is already in storage so I just need to get behind the wheel and hit the road. I've been trying to prepare animations in advance and I'll bring a laptop, I know some of them seem a bit rushed and I can edit them later but they are turning out alright enough. They all just represent the moment in time which they were created. I have 5 or 6 more already made in advance so chances are we are good to go maintaining the 1-a-day thing but there is going to be a week of pure highway driving and short hotel stays, I could even insert placeholder items to distribute and create animations for them later…
