- Update 1.3.11 - 31 January 2026
Hey y'all, I've finally got a bunch of fixes in. There were some bugs reported, and I had to fix them all in one fell swoop. Fixing one led to discovering another, and another, and another, and you understand. Also I was really distracted by working on the next project (sorry!).SO here's the updates:Reduced player speed back to (or closer to) original PD1/PD2 speeds. I increased it in the latest update to match what's in PD3, but this was causing various issues with tight platforms, puzzle timing, and so on.Added player tap-turnaround - it should be easier to change directions from a standstill without moving.Obtained items now register save/load with inventory, so we avoid weird cases where the items were "always solved".Added safety logic to prevent various issues with legacy “slides”Removed code that was triggering player to push / phase into objects that shouldn’t be pushableReduced…
- Launch!! And some bugs 🐛 - 31 March 2025
It's so exciting to finally release ProtoDungeon Episode I on Steam. I appreciate everyone who has supported me and played and encouraged me. I wanted to provide a quick update! I tested everything successfully on an older version of macOS (12 I think). Unfortunately the Mac version will need an update to run on modern OSes. This is more complicated than it sounds because the build is very old, the project files aren't compatible with the current version of my engine, and I can't export from an older version because my license doesn't support that. SO! I will be attempting a more manual conversion to get the Mac up and running. Thanks for your patience here. The good news is players have confirmed the game runs great on the Deck! Not a surprise, but still a relief (you never know with these things). Enjoy the game and I'll see y'all soon, hopefully with a patch for my Mac friends!
