- Beneath the Quiet: Where It Ends is Out Now! - 26 March 2026
Hello Everyone,After a year and a half of dedicated development, working 8 to 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, the moment has finally arrived: our game is officially out! When we first started, we never could have imagined the sheer scale of the undertaking we were committing to.Over the course of development, the game was re-imagined countless times. We completely overhauled the story, refined the core mechanics, and redesigned the visual style until it perfectly captured the atmosphere we wanted. As a two-person team releasing our very first title, we poured our hearts into this project and truly believe we have maximized the potential of both the core concept and the narrative. As of right now, the game is officially yours to play!Naturally, if you encounter any bugs or have any feedback, please do not hesitate to post in the Steam Discussions. We will be actively monitoring the forums…
- Dev Log #3: Inside Our Central Enemy AI - 6 March 2026
Hello Everyone,This time, we wanted to do something a little different with our devlog.Instead of talking about general progress, we wanted to focus on one of the most important parts of Beneath the Quiet: Where It Ends: the game's central enemy.A more limited version of this system is already present in the demo, but in the full game it has much more room to breathe. That gave us the chance to push it far beyond a basic patrol-and-chase horror AI and shape something that feels much more deliberate, oppressive, and hard to predict. Most horror games make you scared of what you see. We wanted to make you scared of what the enemy knows. From the start, the goal was never to make an enemy that just sprints at the player the moment something gets triggered. We wanted it to feel like it was hunting you, even after you thought you had escaped. What makes that possible is simple: it remembers.Whe…

Here’s what’s new:New Enemy (Complete Replacement)We have fully replaced the enemy with a significantly more professional and intimidating version, featuring entirely new animations and sounds. The goal here was simple: stronger presence, clearer readability in motion, and a much more unsettling feel during encounters.Player Movement ReworkPlayer movement has been reworked to feel smoother and more consistent in moment-to-moment gameplay, with improved overall flow and refined crouching. Here’s a quick status update on each one. PrologueThe Prologue is now fully complete. This phase was focused on playtesting, bug fixing, and optimization.
