About this game
A choice-based survival game about surviving prison without ever making the “right” call. Hoosegow: Prison Survival is a survival game with roguelike elements where everything depends on the decisions you make, and the goal is to survive brutal prison conditions. Every choice has consequences, every playthrough is unique, and a single mistake can cost you your life. At the start of the game, you're given a randomly generated inmate with a unique set of stats, a crime they committed, and a sentence to serve. You'll need to balance survival, maintaining your reputation, and completing the objectives of your chosen game mode. KEY FEATURES Permadeath roguelite: every sentence is a new character, a new cellmate, a new set of problems. Hundreds of events, each presenting a moral dilemma with no right answer. Deep meta-progression: a skill tree, cellmates with their own personalities and bonuses, and unique appearance sets. A full crafting system: a stash, blueprints, and a prison economy. Three modes, each with its own goals and ways to play. Interface adapted for handheld devices like Steam Deck.
