World of Ylinthia The world of Ylinthia is a fantasy world, where heroes and armies led by their Christian faith wage war against the forces of evil. War for Ylinthia takes place in the latter half of the 1700s. Due to magic and inventive races such as Dwarves and Zhon-Maru, some elements of technology are more advanced than in the same time period on Earth. Armor is still used to protect during combat. Firearms have been invented, but later than on Earth, so are less prevalent than on Earth during this time period. The most powerful country in the world is the country of Riddocia. Riddocia is made up of autonomous states that form the Riddocian Alliance when their land is troubled. Ylinthia is protected by the Lightwardens, a global organization of heroes with chapter houses in each country.
