You direct the battle through high-level orders, and your party members act autonomously based on their assigned policies. You can switch between characters at any time to take direct control of any role. Melee, ranged, support, lockdown, flanking — seven character classes each bring unique combat techniques, and your tactical options shift dramatically depending on how you combine them. Orchestrating synergy between party members is the key to success. Three time-flow modes are available, including a semi-real-time mode that lets you stop and think.
