We added Crowd Control! If you're not familiar - Crowd Control lets twitch.tv viewers mess with your game. Earlier this year Sheena was part of a charity stream where the central premise was that streamers had teams that would mess with each other via Crowd Control. After it ended we were like "that was really cool", looked in to it, and found out that they were looking for Unity games who wanted to integrate Crowd Control. Coincidentally, Spooky's HD is a Unity game and we wanted to integrate Crowd Control. To connect Crowd Control, go to the Options menu either from the Main Menu or in game. - Spooky's VR Fix Update - 22 June 2022
Hello fleshlings! The sun is upon us! Perfect time to stay inside and go to virtual worlds. The main focus of this update is returning functionality to VR. A new version of Unity allowed the input technology we use to coexist with the Unity input system that works with VR controllers! So - SteamVR and OpenXR controllers are now officially supported! When you launch the game from Steam there are now two options, one to play using SteamVR and one to play using OpenXR. Depending on your device, one may work better than the other, we recommend trying SteamVR first. If your VR controllers do not work, you may need to reset the options to defaults. Due to the way our rebindable controls work, there is a chance that it won’t load the defaults and will assume that the VR controls aren’t bound to anything. Happy Halloween! So first off, the biggest news - Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation is coming to PlayStation 4 w/ PSVR support! It launches there on 10/29, and we’re really excited about it. They have very strict quality requirements, especially around VR, and so the VR experience has been enhanced and refined a LOT for everyone. New trailer by stysmmaker! What’s In This Update Engine update (2017.2.2p2->2017.4.30f1): This is an update that we’ve been wanting to do for a while but finally had to in order to publish. Unity 2017.4 is their “Long Term Support” version where they don’t add features but only fix bugs in the engine itself, so we’re hoping that this provides some fixes for strange issues that people have had that are beyond the scope of what we can fix. Hello! We've been working on a bunch of stuff! First off, Spooky's Dollhouse isn't ready yet - we're still plugging away at it. We're working with Akuma Kira on it and their time is split with working on updates to Lost in Vivo as well. This patch is a collection of fixes and improvements that we've been working on in the mean time. We realized we've actually done a ton of work and it's good stuff that we ought to share with you. There were substantial enough changes to existing specimen/rooms/mechanics that we are doing a fresh new leaderboard for Endless Mode. I know it's been quite some time but here's some patch notes to go along with your Halloween Update! Make sure to load the game so you can see Spooky in her awesome Halloween costume, do you know what her costume is? General Added invincibility frames when you get hit - you're invincible for the duration of the red screen effect (approximately 0.3s). This means that the 50/50 locked door room isn't an instant run killer with three specimen in endless. Fixed fog getting stuck after exiting or finishing a mansion, which would make the main menu look odd after Karimari Hospital. Spruced up the main menu background - it's now at least 75% more ambiant. Fixed the UI scaling/sizes to be consistent (everything will look a bit smaller, but more computer-appropriate). NEW PLATFORM - OSX! We did it! We got Mac working! There are no feature differences between it and Windows. We weren’t able to get super good test coverage on it because the only OSX computer we could test with is a late 2013 MacBook Pro running High Sierra(Thanks Delta Bouche), so please bear with us for any Mac-specific problems - if you’re reporting a bug PLEASE include whether it occurred on Windows or Mac! FURTHER RENOVATIONS - Specimen 7 has a neato updated scripted room in the Base Mansion & Endless. Go hang out with everyone’s favorite mystical cat and agonized flesh wall. STYLE SWAP - Oops. We forgot about this one for a while. But it’s in now! Go set a key for it and swap to your heart’s content. Hey everyone! I'm back with another update, I'm sure you've all been wondering what we've been up to. Albino Moose Games is FINALLY out of con season! We were at E3, Too Many Games and Anime Expo! With all of these conventions only 1 week apart from each other, we hadn't really had time to work on the game itself. Once con season ended, StealthyMoose and I went right back to work. Here's what we've been working on. -We're almost done with all the new room sets for Endless Mode -Adding all the original endless monsters are almost finished. -New options menu is also currently being worked on.
