- Demo Patch Notes 0.4.1.8 - 13 August 2026
Hi, it has been a while! I have been busy working on the larger scope of the game, but I’m now paying attention to the demo again! New featuresAdded gunslinger as a playable class, he can slide aroundAdded three sets of difficulties per level, you get more resources the higher difficulty, but you need to unlock them. I have not properly balanced the final difficulty yet and interesting to see how hard it feels.Changed UX and path to start playing the game in the UI to make it faster to get into the game, let me know if this feels better or if it is confusing.New weaponsFlames RighteousnessGod TearsSpear of GodStakes Bug FixesA lot of bug fixes Some of these patch notes have been in the demo for a month or so but I have not had time to write the patch notes but I thought they are worth mentioning. Also I am curious at what people would want to see in the design of the game or abilities t…
- Delayed launch for Midnight Horde - 21 May 2026
Greetings fellow parkour banshees!I should have made this post a few months ago, but I got sucked into making new cool stuff for the game! The game is being delayed from the previous date.Mainly due to me wanting to keep iterating on the version of the game before I release it into your handsI am now aiming for sometime after the summer.I'm also playing with the idea of letting this be an Early Access game, let me know what you think about that. The reason would be that it would let me spend more time with the game and developing with a better feedback loop.I do think I could release a full version as well, but I think the iterative approach would be good for me and the game. Also some other news, I have added a ton of cool weapons and features! Some are even in the demo right now. I am showing the game in Kyoto Bit Summit this week!!I intend to make a few posts in the future highlighting…

Greetings! I’m happy to announce the new trailer where I show a lot of the new environment and bosses that I have made! There is also an updated version of the demo with new polish and an updated class selection menu (no new classes just yet) and a new WIP level selection (still only one level in the demo). I have been working a lot on refactoring the core of Midnight Horde to make it easier to implement more meta progression content and quests. Also! I made a cool new website for Midnight Horde! https://midnighthorde.com/ Can't wait to show you the next part of the progress which will look really cool! Kind regards Per
- New Resource System - 18 July 2025
Hi! So I have been working on a lot of bosses ect, but now I took a pause and reworked the resource system. Which should make a lot more sense now, instead of the skulls you now use stone and wood to buy buildings. And these together with a new gold drops, drops randomly from enemies in the world. It is not super balanced yet, but let me know what you think and if there is something you want in the game. Next up I will look into adding the classes to the game. :) Ps this is testable in the live demo! I recorded the changes here if you are curious That is all! I hope you have a great summer vacation! /Per
- Sliding - 29 January 2025
Hello there! I'm working on a potential movement mechanic and I want YOUR feedback on it. Basically I am thinking of adding a sliding mechanic on angled surfaces. But I want your feedback if you like the idea or not before I fully commit to it. I implemented a basic version of it here and it could have synergies with movement-based items. Let me know what you think Regards Per

Midnight Horde Demo Celebration: Patch Notes Thank you for playing the demo of Midnight Horde! Your feedback has helped me shape the game into a better experience, and I'm thrilled to share all the updates I have made based on the feedback. New Features Added tooltips for better clarity: - On popup unlocks in the main menu. - On chest rewards. - In the inventory during level-up. Power-ups you can afford are now highlighted. Added a new sound for the winning screen.…

- Midnight Horde development Update 1 - 13 November 2024
Greeting and salutations! I have been hard at work this year making the game feel good and fresh! Hopefully I will have a demo ready to share soon! In the meantime I want to take the time to share two new enemies I am working on. One cool thing to me is that I am doing a lot of the animations inside the shaders, both idle and "locomotion" wise. 1. Explosion boi, is the stereotypical get close explode sort of baneling. Which I find very satisfying and scary in most games. 2. Next up is long long boi, I have not yet decided all of his features but I am thinking his arms could come for you faster than his movement speed. Giving you a little jump scare. I have also been working on making buildings more important to the game. Powerful tools to be used at the right moment I have also added a mini map to easier see the overwhelming numbers and where you are on the castle. I feel like I should…

- Day 1 for Midnight Horde - 19 February 2023
Hello, This is blog post nr 1 for Midnight Horde and I am happy you have taken the time to check it out. Midnight Horde is the result of me playing a lot of Vampire Survivors, 20 minutes till dawn and Dead Cells. The setting is heavily inspired by Mike Mignola and I did get the idea by reading one of his comics and thought that it should be a game. I will also take a lot of inspiration from Blade, Vampire Hunter D and Hellsing. Midnight horde will be a lightweight platformer in the sense that it will not be a struggle but a tool to kite the enemies. I plan the weapons to be inspired by witch hunter type of weapons, early ww1 weapons and contraptions. These will be similar to 20 minute till dawn and Vampire Survivors with synergy fusing upgrades. This is the perfect time to give your feedback about what you like or dislike or feature requests. It will be possible to ask during the early…
