• A Quick Glance Behind - 25 June 2019

  With this update, Quixer has reached a certain maturity. Features have been added. Bugs have been squashed. And the overall experience has been improved! If you've been missing out on it since launch, here's a little recap. At launch we only had the Volume Manager feature. However it was slightly impractical due to the way assigning hotkeys worked. This was changed only a few days later to become much more than that. Not only were you now able to assign hotkeys by pressing any key from your keyboard, but it also came with a complete new module which allows you to set hotkeys for specific apps. Great! Needless to say that with big changes come small bugs. So back to squashing I went. After some time, some bugs fixed and some feedback coming in, I decided to improve Quixer by adding a feature that I was already using in a separate app of mine, which is today known as the Audio Devices fea…

• Update 1.3.5 - 16 June 2019

  Long time no see! I had been doing some silent hotfixes here and there since last official update 1.3.4. They were really too minor to be worth posting about. But not this time! There has been an annoying bug for a while that I just couldn't track down. Some users finally messaged me about it and I decided it was time to really put some thought into it. And so I did for a second... One thing I could do was to try and hunt it down. Which would likely be tedious as it was a really weird one. The other thing I could do was simply erase the whole module where the bug was obviously residing and do it over from scratch. I opted for the latter. Doing so didn't take as nearly as much time as you'd think. I had a good idea of what I was doing. The new version was tested for a few days and the bug seems to have disappeared.   Always more bugs There was yet another bug stopping users with a certain configuration from using Quixer. I apologize again to you if that was your case! That has now been fixed! I bring a gift as an apology! Purple representing playback devices, and blue representing recording devices. It works exactly the same way. There will now be a tray icon for each type of device. If you're not using the feature for either playback or recording devices, you can disable their tray icon respectively in the Settings. Have fun!

  IT'S FIXED! SORRY! I apologize to the few who bought the application between yesterday and today. I had introduced a major bug in update 1.3.2 without realizing. That has now been fixed and everything should start up normally. ːsteamfacepalmː Edit : If you are still getting an error when you launch, it might be that your config file is corrupted beyond repair. You will have to go here : C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Senerio\Quixer and delete config.json. It should be fine after that. If not, make sure you get in touch with me.

  We have yet another quality of life improvement! If you wish to take it out, simply uncheck the option circled in the image above. To make it clear, here's a small example situation in which you would need this option : We have 3 devices (A, B and C) we switch between. So we set all 3 devices in Quixer. Now only A and B are used on a daily basis. C is more situational and is not used enough to justify having to go over it every time we use the toggle device function. And so, by deactivating the option shown above for device C, when we're toggling between devices, only A and B are going to be in the rotation. C will remain available by…

• Update 1.3.1 - 2 February 2019

In this case, it will tell you that you can rotate between Ctrl, LCtrl and RCtrl by clicking on the key. This means that if you set your hotkey to LCtrl + A and press RCtrl + A, Quixer won't detect it as the correct hotkey. If you set it to Ctrl + A, there is no change from before, both LCtrl and RCtrl will work. Cheers!

  It's update time again! I've been working on a requested feature these past few days and I'm glad to announce it's now released! While it might not be as useful as the two other features for the majority of people, there was definetely a demand for it and I thought it would be a good asset to have in order to gain a wider appeal. What this feature essentially allows you to do is make different presets under different hotkeys. Each preset can be loaded with different applications and each application can have its own volume level. When a hotkey for a preset is used, Quixer will set the volume of each applications to the values you configured. If you have differen…

  It was cold today here in Canada so I decided to stay inside and work on Quixer....... As if I need an excuse to stay inside... AHEM! That said... I got some goodies for you tonight!   Good evening! A little bug fixing/improvement once again : - When changing the default playback device, Quixer should now be more efficient. - If you like having a default communication device, Quixer won't reset it anymore when you change devices if you go into Settings and check the "Communication Device" option. That is all!

  Hotfix : Using Quixer on some applications/games (namely Rainbow Six) was causing it to crash and just close without any notification or error message. This has been fixed!

  Hiya! This update is a good one! More apps should now be handled by Quixer (namely Firefox). This also comes with a bonus improvement on the volume slider fluidity in some instances.   Another day, another update. After reviewing the Playback Devices feature, I realized it would only work on English systems. That is now fixed! There was also an issue with using the Alt key as part of the hotkey. This one isn't fixed but a warning was added that using it might not work on your system. It works fine on mine so I figured I should leave it up to each of you! And that's that! Have a nice day with your 'now working' feature you non english folks!

  Merry Christmas! I hope you're all having a good time with the people close to you! With university done for a while, I had spare time on my hands and I didn't know what to make of it! And so I decided to finish the feature I had started back before finals started. I present to you the Quixer Playback Devices Quick Change Feature! (I didn't find a better name.   Sorry there was no patchnotes the last couple updates. They were only tiny hotfixes. Here's a little list of what has happened since 1.1.0. - Added two new settings to help you keep your profiles in sync - Performance improvements - Bug fixes (namely muting was behaving oddly) Also added a Discord Link in the About tab. • Update 1.1.0 - 21 November 2018

  I was hard at work this past week between exams and Quixer. I got some juicy stuff for you! A few were asking for more and more keys to bind hotkeys on. With different keyboard layouts and exotics keys, I had to go with what made the most sense. And so! I got rid of the keyboard layout and redesigned the keybinding from scratch. You can now simply press the keys you want to assign as a hotkey and some mysterious magic will happen right before your eyes. Next we have profiles! This feature had me re-design the way configurations were handled so you will unfortunately have to rebind your hotkeys. (Sorry!) I will try to make this simple... You have the default profile which is Global Profile. This profile is the equivalent of how Quixer used to be. Meaning the focused window will be the one having its volume adjusted.
