You may have to defeat the Masamune boss again to obtain the Key to proceed to the new Area (Heavy Door near the first mini-Boss in the Pit area. You will also get another subweapon that can hit enemies at a distance and consumes only 1 shard ^^ And then fight the mini-boss battle in the new area (still a lot of progress to come)
