  • Patch Notes - 6 August 2026

Combat feel LV1 / LV2 fire faster (less “one shot per second” at base level). Clock lasts 12s and slightly boosts your fire rate while enemies are frozen. Heavy tanks capped per stage (4 in 1P, 5 in 2P). Fewer armored normal / fast / sniper variants (N2 / F2 / S2 hard caps + lower weights). Maps — handcrafted Stages 33 / 47 / 49 (map_17 / 24 / 25): clearer alleys, short iron covers, less brick-sea feel; HQ brick ring left intact. Maps — procedural (random stages) New block-city layout: left / mid / right corridors + 3×3 street modules (alley fight focus). Bricks use clean half-edge pieces (easier to dig, less messy). Mid-lane steel gate in front of the base; the tile next to HQ is half-steel so you can still slip past along the base edge. Side-lane brick gates slow straight edge rushes (breakable). Enemy spawn exits cleared so tanks aren’t walled in at spawn. Late stages get more crossr…

  • Gameplay Balance - 2 August 2026

Death penalty softened — Losing a life now drops your tank power by one level (minimum LV1), instead of resetting all the way to LV1. Late enemy mix eased — Higher-tier enemy caps are lower, and low-tier enemies are no longer stripped out after stage 50. Enemy AI capped — Late-stage AI difficulty no longer scales to full strength; endgame behavior sits closer to mid–late intensity. Smarter power-ups — Drop odds now scale with stage progress, your current power level, and the battlefield (enemy pressure, lives, active shield/timer/shovel, etc.). Underpowered runs get more Stars; saturated runs get fewer useless upgrades.

  • Patch Notes — Map Update - 26 July 2026

Reduced easy side-lane rushes on selected handcrafted stages. Added light, breakable brick chokepoints on open edge approaches so enemies can no longer drive straight down the flanks to the base. Kept the changes sparse to avoid blocking mid-map play or creating pile-ups at the HQ.

  • Continue Update - 19 July 2026

The Continue menu now displays the saved stage number. After completing Stage 99, Continue remains at Stage 99, allowing players to replay the final level.

  • Level Layout Update - 13 July 2026

Campaign Rework Rebuilt the 99-stage campaign with a curated mix of 50 handcrafted maps and 49 procedural stages Handcrafted and procedural levels are interleaved for better pacing and variety across the run Procedural stages now use fixed layouts per stage, so retries stay consistent Stage Highlights Stage 2 now uses a special showcase map (relocated from the old final-stage layout) Stage 99 is the dedicated finale, built around the asymmetric map_50 boss arena Removed duplicate stage files that repeated existing layouts without adding new content

  • Online Multiplayer: A Goal I'd Love to Reach With You - 8 July 2026

Hi everyone, I'm the developer of Tank99. First of all, thank you to everyone who has played, left feedback, and supported the game. It truly means a lot. 🙏A lot of you have been asking: "Can we play online together?" The answer is — I'm already working on it. Here's a screenshot of the online co-op lobby currently in development (LAN two-player co-op):!\Online multiplayer isn't just a button I can flip on. It involves network synchronization, disconnect handling, a lot of multiplayer testing, and ongoing maintenance afterward. As a solo developer, building it out in a complete and stable way is a significant investment of time.So I'd like to set a shared goal with you all: once Tank99 reaches 100 sales, I'll make online multiplayer my top priority and deliver it as a FREE update to everyone who owns the game — no extra charge, and not as paid DLC.If we don't hit that number right away…

  • Extra Lives & New Record Display - 8 July 2026

New Extra life by score — Earn a bonus life for every 20,000 points, shown with a "1UP" popup and its own sound. New record — A "NEW RECORD!" message now appears on the results screen when you beat your best score, and the main menu shows your HI-SCORE. Improvements Bullet impact explosions now render above tanks and terrain instead of behind them. Trimmed leading/trailing silence from several sound effects (reward, upgrade, tank shoot, tank explode) for snappier audio feedback. Bug Fixes Your high score is now saved on game over, not only after clearing a stage.

  • Pause Menu & Settings UI Update - 5 July 2026

Pause menu — Press Esc during a stage to open a full pause menu with Resume and Return to Main Menu (confirmation required; current stage progress is lost). Settings UI refresh — Settings screen now matches the main menu style, with keyboard and gamepad navigation.

  • Bug Fix — Enemy Tank Boundary - 5 July 2026

    • Fixed an issue where enemy tanks could move partially outside the playable map, especially when turning near the edges. • Fixed a rare case where the game could still register a stage clear if your base was destroyed during the brief period after all enemies were defeated.

  • Stage Clear Grace Period - 2 July 2026

Clear the last enemy and you'll have a short window to grab leftover rewards before the stage ends. Includes minor stability fixes.

  • New Feature Random Stage - 1 May 2026

    Levels are randomly generated.
