- 1.1.18 Update - 23 December 2023
Units operating spike strips will now automatically begin pursuing any suspect who hits that spike strip. This behavior will automatically bring a car chase to an end if the suspect already has another unit in pursuit and within range. Added a feature to the Controls menu that allows the player to set camera rotation sensitivity. Fixed a small issue that caused the cashflow animation to be obscured by the UI at certain aspect ratios.
- 1.1.17 Update - 19 December 2022
Fixed a missing tooltip for the "Coverage" meter on the Prostitution Sting interface. Fixed a bug that allowed the user to create multiple stings for a selected unit by repeatedly pressing the Sting shortcut key on the keyboard. Fixed an issue that prevented units from being moved around the map if the camera was zoomed out to extreme distances.

- 1.1.14 Update - 28 June 2022
Autonomy If you've ever felt overwhelmed keeping up with crime in Freemont, this update is for you! This update adds a new policy called "Autonomy" that allows units to automatically respond to most calls on their own. Typically, the unit closest to the crime will respond within a few seconds of the call coming in from dispatch. If enabled, the policy has multiple settings to allow you to determine from how far away units should try to automatically respond. Units will NOT automatically respond to raids, investigations, car chases, dragnets, or any call requiring the responding unit to have a certain skill level. Once a unit has been dispatched to a call, whether automatically or by the player, the call will no longer continue to request a unit response, even if the player calls the unit away from the crime to go do something else. By default, only traffic units are set to respond autom…
- 1.1.13 Update - 30 May 2022
A crowd of onlookers may now spawn around homicide and burglary investigations. The presence of these curious citizens will drive down your Enforcement score. The onlookers can be dispersed by sending units to talk to them or with the helicopter megaphone. The crowd will not interfere with the investigation itself. Police tape now appears around homicide and burglary investigations when a unit arrives at the scene. Establishing this perimeter will encourage onlookers to leave. The police tape system for the structure fire event has been changed to work like the new police tape system for burglaries and homicides. As soon as any unit appears at the scene, the police tape will be established. Using the helicopter megaphone now causes the helicopter to stop moving if it was following a suspect. This will help prevent a situation where a helicopter dispatched to a crowd by clicking on a sus…

This small update improves the way crime and sting icons are scaled at various resolutions.
- 1.1.11 Update - 1 April 2022

- 1.1.10 Update - 15 March 2022
Fixed a bug that could cause venue icons to appear at the incorrect size. Fixed a bug that caused the UI bracket that surrounds the helicopter while it's selected to remain visible even when the helicopter wasn't on the screen.
- 1.1.9 Update - 3 December 2021
This simple update re-balances the system for figuring Service approval scores. The previous system was a lifetime score that reflected your performance over the entire course of a game. This made it different from how other scores are factored. Now, the Service score is calculated like all the other public approval scores: A new survey runs each week and then the memory of previous successes and failures is forgotten. This makes the score more responsive to what's currently happening and makes it easier to win or lose points for Service.
- 1.1.8 Update - 20 November 2021
The New Game setup menu has a new feature called "Crime Curve" that allows you to determine how quickly more advanced types of crimes are allowed to start spawning in the game. The Easy setting will introduce more crime types at a much slower rate. The Hard setting will introduce them very quickly. The Medium setting will introduce them at the same rate they've always been introduced. Hovering the mouse over a unit currently dispatched to go do something will draw a line on the screen between the unit and their destination. This is intended to make it easier for players to see which units are going where. Stings now display their effectiveness at attracting suspects with a "Coverage" meter. Click on any sting to open its details and see the Coverage rating for that type of sting. Deploying more stings of that same type will increase their chances of attracting suspects. Drug Lords are n…
- 1.1.7 Update - 7 October 2021
The Recruiting Drive perk now has a chance to increase the skills of applicants while it is active, in addition to also reducing the time it takes to reshuffle the applicant list. The game now features a pop-up help system that will provide players with useful advice and notifications while they play. In addition to providing help to new players, these notifications will also offer helpful reminders. You'll receive a notification if a unit is waiting for backup, if units are waiting outside the Police Academy or hospital, if an undercover unit is waiting for a marked unit to make an arrest, and so on. These notifications can be disabled from the Options menu in the Graphics/UI section. Players can now choose to prevent the camera from automatically centering itself on whatever crime is being revealed by an informant. This feature can be enabled or disabled with the "Informant Camera" to…
- 1.1.6 Update - 24 June 2021
Suspects running from police are now vulnerable to spike strips even if there are no units actively pursuing them. Backup can now be assigned by selecting a unit and clicking another unit currently providing backup to another unit who is requesting backup. The previous system only allowed dispatching backup by clicking the unit requesting the backup or clicking their detained suspect. Units now respond code 3 to assaults. Moving crimes, like speeding or reckless driving, can no longer expire if the suspect is currently running from police. Fixed a bug that could cause moving crimes not to slow down after hitting a spike strip. Fixed an issue that caused a duplicate "Donuts Eaten" field to appear on unit controllers for SWAT and investigators. Added a manual override for controlling the UI scale. The game will attempt to size the UI according to your aspect ratio, but if it doesn't size…
- 1.1.5 Update - 21 June 2021
Fixed a bug that caused unit controllers not to appear in the tutorial. Support added for 32:9 resolution. Modified the Fast Food call to fix a problem that allowed only units with Interrogation greater than 6 to solve the case without tickets or warnings. Units with an Interrogation of 6 can now also resolve the case. Increased the Enforcement bonus for resolving Fast Food calls and Disturbances.

- 1.0.4 Update - 31 March 2021
Improvements made to handle system memory more efficiently. This fixes some crashes, especially when restoring or starting a game. Fixed a bug that would occasionally cause nearby units to fail to engage a suspect in combat after stopping that suspect in a chase. Fixed an issue that could cause keyboard commands to stop working momentarily after using the license plate registry database. Fixed a bug in the Annual Report that prevented it from properly displaying certain numbers after restoring a saved game. Fixed a bug that would prevent units from stopping a runaway child correctly if the unit and the child were already colliding with each other.
- 1.0.3 Update - 25 March 2021
Crime bubbles now pulse more brightly when they need a unit dispatched to them. Crime bubbles darken more once the first responder has arrived. This is to help players better understand when they no longer need to dispatch units to those crimes. Tweaked public tolerance for safety to make it a little easier for safety ratings to recover from a very low score. Police department menu will now update stats on listings for hired units more frequently. Changed wording on Annual Report to refer to calls "responded" to rather than calls "resolved" to more accurately reflect what we're tracking. Fixed a problem that omitted certain suspicious activity calls from being counted as a call on the Annual Report. This could result in the report displaying more responses than calls in certain categories. (Note that it is still possible to see more responses than calls in a report if a call starts in t…
- 1.0.2 Update - 15 March 2021
Camera can now be moved while the game is paused. Suspects committing a moving crime (such as speeding or car theft) who run from the cops will now remain visible until they reach the map edge. This fixes a situation where cops in pursuit of that suspect would give up the chase if the suspect moved out of range and disappeared even though their crime bubble was still visible. The system for calculating arrest ratios has been modified to include suspects who are downed by police during combat. This makes it much easier to maintain a good Enforcement score so long as the player is responding to crimes and attempting to arrest suspects, even if those suspects choose to fight and lose. Suspects who haven't committed a crime yet, but who run from the police, can now be stopped and arrested properly. Added an icon for "evasion" that will display along with all the other conviction icons that…
- 1.0.1 Update - 8 March 2021
Added support for additional aspect ratios and resolutions, including 3440 x 1440. Fixed a bug that allowed the player to use the Forensics Outsourcing perk without being charged for it when restarting investigations. Various fixes and tweaks to the UI to make it scale better with resolution changes. Certain item previews on the PD Menu now use higher resolution images for better quality. Fixed a bug that could cause item previews to get stuck on the PD menu for Investigators. Fixed a bug that stopped edge scrolling from working when the mouse would move to the bottom of the screen. Fixed a bug that could cause certain suspects to get stuck in the game after being killed. Fixed a bug that would cause the game to forget the user's preference for autosaving if the user disabled autosaving.
